As a teacher and tutor for 16 years I have practice fostering critical thinking and problem-solving in my students, helping them develop these vital abilities. I also believe in cross-curricular integration, constantly looking for ways to connect concepts across subjects. For instance, we might analyze scientific data in an English essay or use mathematical models to predict outcomes in a science experiment. Finally, I know that adaptability and a commitment to lifelong learning are absolutely essential in our ever-changing educational landscape.

Software I Use to Enhance Learning
To truly enhance the learning experience, I lean heavily on a variety of software. Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Google Classroom, Canvas, or Schoology are indispensable for distributing assignments, managing grades, and keeping communication flowing with students and parents. For crafting engaging lessons, I frequently turn to presentation tools like Google Slides or Prezi.
When it comes to making learning interactive and assessing understanding, I love using tools such as Kahoot!, Quizlet, or Nearpod. For my math classes, I often utilize graphing calculators or software like Desmos, while in science, I  employ simulation software or various data analysis tools.  Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) are fundamental for all my collaborative work and organization. I use video editing software (IMovie) and I can quickly learn new software.
