Siemens "ALEGrO" project Lixhe / Belgium

The "ALEGrO" project is the first direct electricity connection
between Germany (Oberzier) and Belgium (Lixhe). The transport capacity
of ALEGrO is to be around 1,000 megawatts (MW). The line, which is
scheduled to be commissioned in 2020, will use high-voltage direct current
(HVDC) transmission technology and will be built as an underground cable.



Responsibilities/
Task/Info
* Control and enforcement of all valid EHS regulations including
procedures described in EHS plan on site.
* Ensure that EHS plan is communicated to all employees and
subcontractors.
* Reports on a regular basis to the EHS MiP, EHS back office, EHS
Employer.
* Ensure that Contractors carrying out works on Site are competent and
have made adequate provision for EHS
* Participation in Site Meetings with Employer.
* Conducting safety training for SEAR employees and subcontractors.
* Weekly Coordination Meeting with subcontractors, (Safety issues).
* Daily DPR meetings with Siemens Site EHS and all subcontractors.
* Leading the EHS of SEAR at site and so EHS advisors subcontractors.
* Managing and implemented the permit to work system (for example,
hot work, electrical work and working at height).
* Reporting and managing of near misses, incidents and accidents (root
cause analyzes).
* Monitor the works for compliance with all measures relevant to safety.

* Organize and conduct safety meetings and site safety inspection and
SWAT (safety walk and talk).
* Check certificates of equipment, check inspection reports equipment.
* Check for compliance and, if necessary, asserting the stipulations on work
safety and environmental protection according the ISO 14001 system.
* Preparation and writing of Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
* Control, review and approval of relevant EHS documents, e.g. RAMS,
EHS Plan subcontractors.
* Report to SEAR Site Management on any content that may exist with
regard to the implementation of the Project EHS Plan.
* Report frequently safety statistics from SEAR to Siemens Site Manager
and Siemens EHS Manager.
* Review incident and investigation reports and write route cause
investigation report.
* Keep and maintain the records of Site EHS Documentation.
* Driving the "Zero Harm Culture" mind set in the Project (Employer).

Siemens "COBRAcable" project Eemshaven / Netherlands

The "COBRAcable" project is one of the major interconnectors
being constructed in the North Sea, connecting the Netherlands
(Eemshaven) with Denmark (Endrup). It is a 325 km submarine cable
which will have the ability to transfer 700 MW.
