I’m a developer and entrepreneur with a deep background in enterprise financial software, scalable systems, APIs & workflows. Over the years, I’ve worked on a wide range of tools and platforms in the fintech and leasing space - from backend engines and APIs to full-scale workflow systems and decision logic. And when I’m not in front of the screen, there’s a good chance I’m in the garage working on a Harley.
I started my journey at a software company focused on financial workflows, where I was responsible for clients in Germany and Eastern Europe. That gave me valuable insight into how leasing companies and banks operate - and how digital tools can simplify even the most complex processes.
In 2014, I joined the early team behind leasinGo, Germany’s first real-time B2B leasing comparison platform - a kind of Check24 for business leasing. I designed and developed the backend, built core algorithms (including rate and valuation models), and helped shape the product from the ground up. During 2015 & 2016 I was responsible for scaling the platform even further.
Later, I joined FinCompare in Berlin as CPO & late founder, where I led the product organization during a key growth phase. Highlights included:
- Developing a new leasing engine with smart matching and rate calculation
- Building and launching a new brand: Absatzfinanzierung24
- Supporting the setup of a leasing factory in Düsseldorf
- Leading product/ops scaling and integrating key corporate partners
After taking a break from coding in 2018 to 2020 - during which I founded and successfully built up a Harley-Davidson workshop - I became a fully digital nomad, returned to freelance software development, and took on a long-term role with one of Germany’s most respected regional media groups, part of a larger publishing house ranked fourth in the country by circulation and revenue.
My work there centers on the core backend systems that power their digital content distribution - mainly features around user authentication, access control, and managing digital purchases. While the domain is very different from fintech, the technical challenges are similar: performance, reliability, and designing systems that quietly do their job in the background.
Whether in finance or media, my work always aims to bring clarity to complexity - through architecture that scales, code that lasts, and features that serve real people.
