- Extensive experience of development and maintenance of Insurance application on technology System i (AS400), Synon/2E, ILE-RPG, RPG, COBOL/400, DB2/400, CL, SMART/400, MQ, SQL, Eclipse.
- Working closely with BA and CS on Business requirement, evolve them into detailed specifications and Elicitation, Estimation.
- Participate in writing and review of Functional design, Technical design. Test case review for system acceptance testing and user acceptance testing.
- Experience in an Agile development environment. Wide experience of JIRA in Service management, issue tracking and reporting. Confluence for documentation collaboration.
- Strong experience of handling production support request, defect fixing. Proactively highlight opportunities to improve performance in iSeries application.
- Managing development & test environments and perform quality check. Mentor operational team for various administrative activities.
- Communication and coordination of external service providers includes planning of maintenance measures and optimization of applications.
- Prepare and Ensure the successful implementation of release components to meet the release commitments. Work with the development team to establish and document release plans.
- End to end project coordination, working closely with end user, System Study, Requirements Analysis, Elicitation Estimation.
- Application development, performance improvement, 3rd level support and code review on iSeries. Experience of handling request using iSeries (AS400), Synon/2E, RPG, ILE-RPG, COBOL/400, DB2/400, CL, SQL, MQ, XML, Turn Over.
- Worked closely with Business analysis / Actuarial / CS to analyze business requirement for unit link, Life Insurance application. Suggest appropriate solutions to business problems.
- Defining solution architecture and design for projects across various business units Prepared and review SRS, SDS, logical architecture and use cases.
- Wide experience of handling request using OTRS and JIRA for production support and job monitoring. Proactively highlight opportunities to improve performance in all areas of insurance application.
- Experience in working with technical migration team of iSeries application to SAP based insurance product.
- Strong knowledge of Policy administration, cash flow system, Fund desk management, commissioning application, payback system.
- Ensure on-time delivery of project without effort slippage. Monitor project progress, Release management, Incident management, Review Estimation, project plan and schedule.
- Prepare Project reports, collection of project metrics and periodically presenting project status to management and client.
- Mentoring and guiding to team members/Leads at various phases of project execution on different technology. Participated and lead the IV&V process for new projects in AS400 and Synon 2E technology.
- Architectural design and review major deliverables (SAD, logical architecture, process flow, LDM and use cases) and ensure the quality of deliverables.
- As part of the design assurance team, conduct feasibility study of the request and prepare Service architecture. I have structured a repository as work packages that follow the TOGAF framework.
- Assist in setting up framework for cross-central team communication, coordination of integration among components, and provide related governance.
