I am a data center technologist based in Frankfurt (Germany) with more than 20 years of experience within the IT industry.
What started as a career in data center administration moved swiftly into IT consulting and training with the focus on mostly VMware-based virtualization and other related IT infrastructure technologies.
I combine my deep technical and excellent educational skills to deliver the best solutions to my clients and partners clients, who span across many industries in EMEA.
On the certification side of things I do hold several advanced certifications, including VCP-VCF Architect, VCIX-DCV 2023, VCIX-NV 2023 and multiple VMware Specialist badges (details at https://www.credly.com/users/richter-steffen).
In the past 15 years I have also become a well-known advanced VMware Certified Instructor
(VCI) Level 2 (now called VCF VCI), teaching classes across EMEA within Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) technologies including VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX as well as multiple products of the (former) Tanzu (now VKS) product line (Kubernetes-related).
In this role, I did receive the VCI Achievement Award for my outstanding contribution and the best instructor evaluations in EMEA, presented on VCI Day at VMworld Europe 2013.
Additionally VMware awarded me a vExpert in both 2016 and 2017 as well as receiving a "Voice of the Customer Recognition" in Q4/24.
Since 2010 I have been working as a freelance IT Consultant, Architect and Technical Instructor, currently focusing on virtualization technologies, cloud enablement and container technologies.
