RSM US LLP Transforms Client Engagement with a Modern AWS- Powered Portal

RSM US LLP

50-250 Mitarbeiter

RSM US LLP, a leading provider of assurance, tax, and consulting services, sought to modernize its client engagement processes, which were previously hindered by fragmented systems and manual workflows. Clients often faced challenges such as navigating multiple portals, delays in data collection, and limited transparency in tracking their services. These inefficiencies not only created frustration for clients but also placed additional administrative burdens on staff while raising concerns around data security and compliance.
To address these challenges, a centralized client portal was developed on a secure and scalable AWS architecture. The platform integrates services such as Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon Cognito to deliver streamlined workflows, secure document management, and real-time service tracking. Features such as e-signature integration, automated data collection, and personalized dashboards enhanced usability while strengthening security through AWS-native tools like KMS, WAF, and Shield. The result was a robust digital ecosystem designed to improve client experience while optimizing internal operations.
The new AWS-powered portal has significantly transformed RSM US LLP's client engagement model. The solution achieved measurable improvements, including a notable increase in client satisfaction, reductions in administrative overhead, and greater data accuracy. Beyond immediate efficiencies, the portal established a future-ready platform, positioning RSM to deliver a more transparent, connected, and client-centric experience. This transformation underscores how cloud technology, when effectively implemented, can redefine professional service delivery and drive long-term growth.

The implementation of the AWS-powered client portal has transformed RSM US LLP's client engagement model, delivering significant and measurable results. Client satisfaction improved by 40%, with users praising the portal's convenience, transparency, and ease of use. Administrative overhead was reduced by 30% through automation and self-service capabilities, easing the burden on staff. Data accuracy increased by 50% thanks to automated collection and validation, ensuring more reliable and complete information. Additionally, the centralized AWS-native platform enhanced security and simplified compliance with healthcare regulations, further strengthening the organization's overall operations.

KAR Group Erbil: Accelerating Digital Transformation with AWS

KAR Group Erbil

Energie, Wasser und Umwelt

1000-5000 Mitarbeiter

KAR Group Erbil, a leading oil and gas enterprise, faced significant challenges with its legacy on-premises infrastructure, which was rigid, costly, and inefficient. Its core applications were built as large monoliths that were difficult to update, scale, and maintain. Limited scalability led to performance bottlenecks, while high operational overhead consumed resources that could have been directed toward innovation. Recognizing the need for agility and resilience, KAR Group partnered with an AWS Advanced Partner to accelerate digital transformation and modernize its IT landscape.
The solution involved a multi-phased migration strategy that went beyond simple “lift and shift” to a re-platforming approach for dozens of applications. Databases were modernized using Amazon RDS and DynamoDB, applications were containerized with Docker, and workloads were orchestrated on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). Critical monolithic systems were incrementally decomposed into microservices using domain-driven design and deployed on EKS with service mesh integration for improved communication and observability. Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and AWS managed services such as S3, SQS, and Lambda were also leveraged to reduce operational burdens and accelerate delivery.
As a result, KAR Group achieved significant business and technical gains. Agility and time-to-market improved as CI/CD pipelines and microservices architecture enabled faster development cycles. Scalability and performance were enhanced with AWS’s elastic infrastructure, ensuring reliable service even at peak demand. Operational efficiency increased as resource utilization was optimized, while costs dropped through AWS’s pay-as-you-go model. Additionally, resilience and disaster recovery improved through distributed architectures, and developers benefited from standardized environments and automated deployment. Together, these outcomes positioned KAR Group for long-term growth, innovation, and competitiveness in the digital era.

Henry Community Health's portal app infrastructure implementation

Henry Community Health

250-500 Mitarbeiter

In a 14-week project, Henry Community Health, a healthcare provider with over 18 clinics, partnered with an AWS Advanced Partner to address significant workforce management challenges. The existing system was inefficient at minimizing open shifts, creating effective schedules, and maintaining high staff satisfaction. These issues led to increased overtime costs, potential staff burnout, and negatively impacted patient care. The new solution was urgently needed to address these operational issues under tight timelines. The custom, cloud-native solution replaced the legacy system, leveraging various Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build a scalable, secure, and data-driven platform.
The solution was built on a variety of AWS services. The application's backend and API layer were hosted on Amazon EC2 and AWS Lambda, while data ingestion and workflows were managed with AWS Step Functions and SQS. A custom scheduling algorithm, balancing staff preferences and qualifications, was run on AWS Lambda. Amazon DynamoDB was used for low-latency storage of schedules and staff profiles, and Amazon QuickSight provided real-time dashboards for analytics. Security was managed with AWS IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, and Config to ensure encryption and compliance. The solution also included a notification system using Amazon SNS and SES to send shift alerts and reminders to staff.
The implementation of the new system led to significant improvements for Henry Community Health. The project resulted in a  35% reduction in open shifts , a 28% improvement in staff satisfaction , and a 40% increase in operational efficiency . The new platform's cloud-native infrastructure also reduced operational costs by 50% compared to on-premise alternatives. Additionally, the use of Amazon QuickSight dashboards enabled leadership to make proactive, data-driven staffing decisions. The success of the project demonstrated the potential of cloud technology to revolutionize healthcare operations by solving a critical business challenge and establishing a scalable platform for future innovation
