SAG provides a B2B automotive marketplace and related services (BI, Vendor adapters, etc). The project goal was to further add more features and modernize the stack to meet scaling, security and compliance requirements.
The Stack was mostly Java in various versions and different frameworks (Wildfly, Camel, Spring). The previous infrastructure was based on self-managed Openshift. The customer decided to migrate to Azure and reduce self-managed infrastructure components and switch to managed variants.
Tasks:
• Migrate Openshift specific deployments to AKS and integrate with Azure specific resources • Migrate Nexus and Bamboo to ACR, Github and Github actions
Design and Implement common processes for Developers and Operations for application lifecycle management
Mentoring - DevOps and Cloud/Container best practices
• Mediating between Business Stakeholders, Operations and Development teams • Architectural design tasks for Cloud and Service Infrastructure
There were quite a few more tasks and still active as of Mai 2024 in this project as a generic problem solver, mentor and mediator.
