Skills

To whom it may concern,
I hold a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Atılım University in Turkey and bring over 5 years of progressive, international experience in engineering and consulting across the defense, aerospace, and automotive industries. My career is characterized by continuous growth, technical excellence, and a dedication to developing innovative solutions in challenging environments.
My professional journey began as a Chief Engineer for Ankara's tallest twin towers project, where I led a team of over 100 workers, honing my leadership and project management skills. I then transitioned to the defense sector at SDT Space and Defence Technology Inc., specializing in Reliability, Testability, and Maintainability Analyses, FMECA/FMEA, Component Engineering, and Obsolescence Management. My contributions included developing comprehensive maintenance manuals and conducting technical training for land and air vehicle systems, shooting systems, simulators, and satellites.
Building on this foundation, I joined KCIG GmbH in Cologne as an ILS/IPS Consultant. There, I was instrumental in lifecycle cost analyses for ship engines and provided reliability analyses, including FMECA for electronic components. This role allowed me to utilize my analytical expertise effectively while delivering tailored solutions to international clients.
At Bertrandt Technology Germany GmbH, I advanced to the role of Safety Engineer and Project Leader. My work involved developing and implementing safety concepts and documentation per ISO 26262 and MIL-STD-882E standards for both automotive and aerospace projects. Notably, I spearheaded maintenance strategies and processes to enhance the reliability and availability of safety-critical systems. Collaborating with international teams, I gained proficiency in tools such as APIS IQ, PTC Windchill, and Isograph Reliability Workbench.
In addition to my corporate roles, I worked as a freelance Functional Safety/Resident Engineer with companies like Flex Automobile and BorgWarner Inc., contributing to BMW PCU HAF (DC/DC Converter), EVA 2, and MMA Coolant Heater projects. My responsibilities spanned Technical Safety Concept development, FMEA/FTA/DFA/FMEDA execution, and safety documentation creation.
Most recently, as a Project Functional Safety Manager at Vitesco Technologies, I led safety analyses and developed comprehensive safety plans for ECUs used in AUDI and Porsche vehicles.
I am currently consulting for HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH under a contract Bertrandt Technology Germany GmbH, where I focus on MTBF predictions and maintaining reliability documentation according to MIL-STD-217F.
Colleagues and supervisors have consistently commended my strong analytical skills, proactive mindset, and collaborative approach. I take pride in my ability to handle complex challenges with precision and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
I am eager to bring my diverse expertise, dedication to excellence, and problem-solving capabilities to your team. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my experience aligns with your company’s goals.
Sincerely,
Hüseyin Mert KÜLAHCI
