Involvement in a large SAP migration project from ECC to S/4HANA for a leading German wholesale and building services company. The focus was on the SAP Commerce B2B shop with Spartacus frontend. Engaged as Senior Software Engineer, while also contributing to architectural evaluations and key design decisions. Core activities centered on interface integration, data migration, and support during the GoLive of a test region.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration of S/4HANA APIs (A_SalesOrderSimulation, A_SalesOrder, A_SalesQuotation, A_SalesContract) and custom interfaces for pricing, availability, delivery dates, and order deadlines
- Synchronization of business partner data with S/4HANA (companies, employees, addresses), including frontend management features
- Adaptation of the SAP Commerce backend and Spartacus frontend to S/4HANA and client-specific requirements
- Evaluation and refinement of software architectures, including contributing to and documenting key architecture decisions
- Coaching and mentoring of developers within the assigned sub-project
- Collaboration across related sub-projects and coordination with adjacent teams
- Consulting and requirement engineering in close cooperation with Product Owners (e.g. refinement sessions, workshops)
