I am a three-times certified Circular Economy Expert with over a decade of practical experience in Waste Management, Reverse Logistics, and Sustainable Business Transformation.
My career began as a Waste Management Expert in Austria, where I oversaw operations across 36 municipalities, handling over 70,000 tons of technical and biological resource flows annually. I specialized in waste avoidance strategies (R-Strategies), regulatory compliance, infrastructure deployment, IoT-based automated collection systems, and composting operations—helping communities and businesses reduce costs and environmental impact along the entire supply chain.
As a High-Mastery Circular Economy Specialist (CERC & CEA certified), I now focus on circular design, ESG compliance (CSRD, ESRS, CEAP, WFD), Industry 4.0 technology integration, and circular business modeling. I help organizations transition from linear to circular models by embedding ISO 59000 standards, driving circular supply chains, and creating sustainable ecosystems that integrate environmental, social, and economic value.
My projects include:
Developed the "Certified Circular Economy Officer (ISO 59004)" accreditation at Austrian Standards International
Designed blockchain-based quality audit trails for the secondary raw material markets in Austria
Designed a Circular Textile Industry in Czech Republic, Circular Construction Industry in Sweden, and Circular Coffee Supply Chain in Ethiopia
Created frameworks for a global circular bio-economy and EU social cohesion parameters
Participation in the Circular Economy Complexity Analysis for the European Green Deal
Leadership & Advisory Roles
Lead Auditor Certified Circular Economy Officer (acc. ISO 59004) – Austrian Standards International
Advisor – Circular Economy Forum Austria
Senator – Senate of Economy Austria
Partner – Austrian Blockchain Center, Global Sustainable Futures Network
Former Ambassador & Board Member – European Technology Chamber
Head of Competence Center for Supply Chain & Circular Economy – ZFRK Austria
By combining a decade of hands-on Circular Economy practice with advanced certifications in circular value creation, I empower organizations to transform linear operations into future-proof, sustainable, and resilient systems

The partnership between Coffee Resurrect and Raphael Schranz epitomizes the circular bioeconomy's potential and the impact of industrial symbiosis in the pursuit of sustainability.
Coffee Resurrect, an innovative company, has been a trailblazer in the circular bioeconomy movement. They've redefined the role of used coffee grounds, considering them a valuable resource to be reintegrated into the economy, aligning perfectly with the circular economy's principles of minimizing waste, conserving resources, and maximizing economic benefits.
At the core of Coffee Resurrect's mission is industrial symbiosis, a fundamental concept within the circular bioeconomy. Working alongside Raphael Schranz, they've established a virtuous cycle in which coffee grounds are upcycled into various valuable products. Through strategic collaborations and partnerships, every part of the coffee grounds is utilized, reducing waste and creating economic opportunities for multiple stakeholders.
As an expert in circular economy and the circular bioeconomy, I played a crucial role in this journey. I provided Coffee Resurrect with a tailored training program, covering key topics such as circularity principles, industrial symbiosis, biotechnology, sustainable sourcing, and innovative product and system design.
In summary, the partnership with Coffee Resurrect demonstrates the transformative potential of the circular bioeconomy. By upcycling used coffee grounds through industrial symbiosis, they've reduced waste and established a sustainable model that can be replicated in various industries. My expertise has been instrumental in their success, illustrating how circular economy principles can simultaneously drive environmental stewardship and economic growth. Together, they contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for all.

Project Overview:
I spearheaded an innovative project that harnesses Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to tokenize audit trails within the secondary raw material industry, revolutionizing transparency and trust across the entire value chain.
Challenge:
Stakeholders in the secondary raw material sector—such as recyclers, collectors, and processors—face fragmented and opaque audit trails. This not only impedes traceability, but also hampers compliance, trust, and operational efficiency.
Our Solution:
We leveraged DLT's unique strengths—immutability, decentralization, and verifiability—to create token-based audit trails. Each transaction or event in the supply chain is encapsulated as a secure, verifiable token recorded on the ledger. This provides an unalterable, transparent audit trail accessible to all authorized players, significantly elevating accountability and traceability levels
Key Impacts:
Built foundational infrastructure for the entire industry to operate on more transparent rails.
Enhances trust across supply chains by enabling all stakeholders to verify audit logs independently.
Promotes accountability and regulatory compliance through immutable recordkeeping.
Why It Matters:
Sets a new transparency standard: Empowers regulators, buyers, and partners with real-time, tamper-proof visibility.
Scalable and versatile: The framework can be adapted to diverse sectors needing secure, trusted audit processes—mining, manufacturing, ports, and beyond.
Supports the circular economy transition: Enhances traceability for recycled materials, aiding sustainable procurement and ESG goals.
What I Did:
Conceptualized and defined the tokenization strategy.
Collaborated closely with DLT architects and industry domain experts to tailor the solution for real-world workflows.
Piloted prototypes to validate functionality across key audit use cases.
Demonstrated how secure, tokenized audit logs form critical infrastructure for trusted secondary material markets.
