Replacement of a homegrown manufacturing execution system (MES) at an international semiconductor company with state-of-the-art functionality and technology for current and future utilization.
The exiting MES was showing its shortcomings and required a replacement as well as enhancement to support business needs and production flexibility. All parts of semiconductor production were affected: material management, product management, process flow design and execution, equipment management, production monitoring, optimization and alike.
Guiding the overall MES program with analysis and clarification of functional and data requirements as well as the current business-IT landscape to create visions, concepts and roadmaps to support the transition.
Detailed analysis of process flow design/execution as well as product management and provision of ideas and concepts for improvements.
Creation of functional/data prototypes and production related use case/examples to present concepts and ideas.
Evaluation of semiconductor dispatching and scheduling solutions by various vendors and their fit to identified use cases including rating of solutions and recommendations.
