The PTT (Portfolio & Trade lifecycle Technologies) team is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a background in the energy trading sector. As an external consultant, you will play a critical role in understanding and analyzing business requirements and supporting our software development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and contribute to the successful delivery of software projects.

Anforderungen

Develop a clearly defined methodology for modeling PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) trades within Horizon, providing: 

  • Practical guidelines for originators on permissible pricing structures that can be technically supported. 
  • Flexibility to accommodate negotiated variations in future PPAs. 

Ensure accurate valuation of PPA trades for settlement and position reporting, including the separate treatment of fixed and floating components in line with risk and reporting requirements. 

  • Business Analysis: Review historical and potential future PPA pricing structures with stakeholders. 
  • Requirements Gathering: Assess back office, risk, and reporting needs associated with PPA trades. 
  • Trade Modeling Design: Define an approach for representing PPA trades in Horizon that meets business and technical requirements. 
  • Valuation Solution: Design a valuation engine (potentially external to Horizon) to accurately price PPA trades, and specify integration with CDL reporting views. 
  • Implementation Assessment: Determine required CDL development effort for implementation and integration. 
  • Collaborate with CDL working on DWH PFR to ensure output of valuation and deal modelling can be integrated

  • Conduct detailed requirements analysis for new and existing software projects in the energy trading sector.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including traders, business managers, and IT teams, to gather and document business and functional requirements.
  • Develop clear and concise business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and use cases.
  • Work closely with the software development team to translate requirements into high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Support the development and implementation of testing strategies to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Facilitate communication and ensure alignment between business users and technical teams.
  • Participate in project planning, review meetings, and provide regular progress updates.

Competences:

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) experience. Really welcome if Allegro ETRM system.
  • Familiarity with PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using business analysis software and tools (e.g., Azure, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
