Data Engineer Snowflake / Data Vault (m/w/d) - NEARSHORE

Description:

• The VDWH is the central Datawarehouse and the core of data.
• The VDWH takes data from many source systems and stores, historizes and transforms the data.
• Using Data Vault 2.0 we provide a central data foundation to be used by decentral domain teams for purposes such as financial reporting, commercial steering, Price Adjustments, Campaign Management and Call Centre Steering & Reporting.

Tasks:

• As part of an agile Data Team you design, build, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable data models
• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into scalable data solutions
• Optimize existing data pipelines for performance, cost efficiency, and maintainability
• Continue to build out the data model and process for GDPR Art. 15, using a large variety of data sources and data vault 2.0.
• Following on from a PoC, further develop the data deletion procedure as part of the “Deletion Taskforce” inside Snowflake to ensure compliance with GDPR and additional internal regulations. Align with all source systems (20+) who also need to delete data to ensure consistent deletion of data in both the source and the warehouse.

Main Toolset:

• Snowflake, dbt (Core), Airflow, AzureDevOps

Skills:

• Strong experience in data warehousing and different types of data archicture
• Excellent SQL skills required
• Experience of Data Vault 2.0 would be advantageous
• Experience with Snowflake and dbt preferred
• Experience with Airflow and python a plus

Soft Skills:

• Clear communication in English (C1), to both technical and non technical audiences is a must.
• German Language skills (B1 or higher) would be advantageous.
• Teamplayer, enjoys working with others and getting the job done as a team.
