Freelance Backend Developer (Node.js / TypeScript / AWS Serverless – Performance & Scaling)

Start: immediately

Duration: until the end of January (option to extend)

Location: 100% remote

We are looking for a backend specialist with a clear focus on Node.js and AWS Serverless. Experience with other cloud platforms is a plus — but for this project, deep AWS Serverless expertise is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize services on AWS Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, Serverless Framework)

• Performance and scaling improvements (cold starts, concurrency, architecture cleanup)

• Work with Aurora Serverless (MySQL), S3, CloudWatch, SQS, Route 53

• Consolidate existing integrations:

• Auth: Privy.io / Cognito

• Payments: Stripe, PayPal, OpenNode

• Analytics: Mixpanel, GA4

• KYC: Onfido

• Push: Firebase

• Logging/monitoring with Bugsnag, CloudWatch

• CI/CD using GitHub, AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild

Requirements

• Must-have: Node.js 20.x, TypeScript, AWS Serverless production experience

• Hands-on experience with migrations, refactoring, high-load environments, and scalable architectures

• Clear communication, independent work style, experience in remote setups
