IT Financial & PMO Consultant (m/w/d)

COODE (Chief Operating Office Digital Evolution) is a digital program designed to align and consolidate digitization efforts within a single organization. The goal is to unify all ongoing digital initiatives under one program, enabling the development of in-house software solutions and automated data flow processes. All solutions are deployed on a centralized COODE platform to ensure seamless access and usage.

The following tasks are performed independently:

• Monitoring and controlling IT project budgets across capital and operational expenditure (CAPEX/OPEX) based on provided information and professional expertise.
• Performing cost tracking, variance analysis, and forecasting to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
• Validating invoices, timesheets, and vendor costs against project allocations.
• Coordinating month-end and year-end financial close processes for IT projects by monitoring progress against budget.
• Preparing financial performance summaries and dashboards, including weekly updates in Power BI.

• Updating financial and project status data in PMO systems and Power BI reports based on current circumstances.
• Providing professional consultation to Project Managers regarding financial planning, reporting, and documentation.
• Creating weekly project documentation including financial records, cost baselines, forecasts, and change logs.
• Preparing governance and steering committee materials monthly to provide portfolio health overviews.
• Tracking project delivery milestones and documenting accurate cost progress.

• Identifying and documenting financial or delivery risks on a weekly basis through professional analysis and evaluation.
• Monitoring corrective actions and mitigation plans for financial and schedule risks.
• Ensuring adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards relevant to the utilities industry.

• Developing standardized cost control templates and processes across the IT portfolio based on project requirements.
• Documenting results and providing recommendations for process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and transparency, including online presentations for sign-off.
• Consulting on best practices in financial governance and reporting within IT and PMO teams.

1. Experience: 3–5 years of experience in financial controlling, project accounting, or PMO consultancy within the utilities or energy sector. Demonstrated experience managing financials for IT or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of CAPEX management and financial reporting cycles.

2. Technical Skills Proficiency with financial and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar). Experience with project or portfolio tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, ServiceNow, or equivalent). Knowledge of cost forecasting, accruals, and project accounting principles.

3. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities. Proactive mindset with a focus on early risk detection and resolution.

4. Key Deliverables Monthly IT financial dashboards and variance reports. Updated project cost baselines and forecast documentation. Timely and accurate project and financial status updates. Early identification and escalation of financial risks. Compliance with corporate financial and regulatory standards.
