Our client is a well-established, internationally operating technology services provider delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance network infrastructures for large SaaS platforms and digital service organisations. Headquartered in Düsseldorf, the company employs several hundred specialists across Europe and supports enterprise customers in building and operating resilient, cloud-integrated connectivity environments. Their portfolio covers enterprise networking, network automation, cloud connectivity, and 24/7 managed network operations for customers in fast-growing digital industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, implement, and optimise enterprise network infrastructures (LAN/WAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN) for large distributed environments
  2. Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and remote-access solutions across multi-vendor ecosystems
  3. Analyse complex network topologies, troubleshoot performance issues, and develop improvement plans aligned with best-practice architectures
  4. Support network migration and modernisation projects, including upgrades, redesigns, and cloud-connectivity integrations
  5. Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation (HLD/LLD, topology diagrams, configuration standards, security concepts)
  6. Collaborate with cloud, cybersecurity, and platform engineering teams to ensure seamless operation in hybrid and multi-cloud setups
  7. Serve as a technical point of contact for internal teams and clients, providing guidance on network strategy, design decisions, and operational excellence
What You Bring
  1. Strong hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking (routing, switching, wireless)
  2. Solid understanding of firewall and security concepts, ideally with Palo Alto Networks or comparable solutions
  3. Experience working with SD-WAN technologies (e.g., VMware SD-WAN, Cisco SD-WAN)
  4. Good knowledge of cloud networking principles—preferably within Microsoft Azure
  5. Familiarity with network automation, monitoring, and documentation best practices
  6. Structured, solution-oriented working style with strong analytical and communication skills
  7. Very good German and good English skills, spoken and written
