SAP S/4HANA EWM/Supply Chain (SCM) Lead
We are seeking an experienced German-speaking SAP S/4HANA EWM/Supply Chain (SCM) Lead Consultant to take ownership of the Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Supply Chain Logistics solution during the design phase of a major greenfield implementation.This 12-month contract is with a leading client in the Manufacturing & Distribution sector.
We are seeking an experienced German-speaking SAP S/4HANA EWM/Supply Chain (SCM) Lead Consultant to take ownership of the Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Supply Chain Logistics solution during the design phase of a major greenfield implementation.This 12-month contract is with a leading client in the Manufacturing & Distribution sector.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables (Design Phase Focus)
- As the EWM/SCM Lead, you will be responsible for defining and documenting the core logistics solution design, focusing on the integrated capabilities of S/4HANA, particularly in a heavy equipment production and distribution environment. Key deliverables include:Lead Design Workshops: Facilitate and lead functional and business process design workshops with key stakeholders (Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Production) to define "To-Be" processes. This must ensure alignment with S/4HANA best practices, focusing on new Advanced Warehousing (EWM), Transportation Management (TM), and integrated Inventory Management considerations.
- Blueprint & Scope Documentation: Produce the comprehensive EWM/SCM Blueprint document, capturing the final agreed-upon solution scope, business requirements, and detailed functional specifications for the Logistics/Supply Chain stream.
- System Configuration & Prototyping: Lead the initial system setup and configuration efforts for the EWM and related logistics modules. This includes configuring Inbound/Outbound Process Management, Physical Inventory, Storage Bin/Type Structures, Warehouse Task/Order Creation, and integration points with Procurement (MM) and Sales/Distribution (SD). Support the development of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and system prototypes.
- Team Leadership: Act as the primary EWM/SCM subject matter expert (SME), guiding junior team members, managing the overall solution delivery for the EWM/SCM stream, and ensuring successful integration with related upstream (PP/QM) and financial (FI/CO) processes.
