Our client is a leading, internationally active provider of enterprise IT infrastructure services for the technology sector. Located in Hamburg, the organisation employs several hundred specialists across Europe and supports global companies in operating secure, scalable, and compliant IT environments. Their portfolio spans infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, security services, and managed platforms for fast-growing organisations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engineer, maintain, and optimise hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and adherence to security best practices
  2. Assess complex infrastructure landscapes, identify risks or bottlenecks, and define long-term improvement plans
  3. Lead automation and standardisation initiatives across compute, storage, and networking environments
  4. Create operational documentation including runbooks, architecture designs, resilience concepts, and configuration standards
  5. Collaborate with cloud, network, security, and platform teams to ensure seamless operations across distributed environments
  6. Serve as a senior technical advisor for clients and internal stakeholders, supporting major infrastructure and security decisions
What You Bring
  1. Strong experience with enterprise infrastructure (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V)
  2. Knowledge of networking and security fundamentals, including identity, access, and segmentation
  3. Hands-on experience with automation and IaC tooling (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible)
  4. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  5. Understanding of operational and compliance requirements in enterprise environments
  6. Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a structured and service-oriented mindset
  7. Very good German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken
