Our client is a leading, internationally active provider of large-scale IT operations, cloud automation, and secure infrastructure management for the IT-services industry. Headquartered in Berlin, the company employs several hundred specialists across Europe and supports global software providers and digital-platform operators in maintaining reliable, compliant, and high-performance backend environments. Their portfolio includes systems administration, cloud operations, SRE consulting, and managed infrastructure services for fast-growing IT organisations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Administer, optimise, and troubleshoot highly available Linux-based systems and virtualised server environments, ensuring stability, scalability, and operational excellence
  2. Assess complex infrastructure setups, diagnose reliability or performance issues, and propose long-term improvements to system architectures
  3. Drive automation, migration, and modernisation efforts, including CI/CD integrations, orchestration tooling, and secure access/identity configurations
  4. Produce clear operational documentation such as runbooks, LLD/HLD designs, resilience concepts, and infrastructure standards
  5. Coordinate closely with platform, DevOps, cloud, and security teams to ensure smooth operations across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  6. Serve as a senior technical point of contact for clients, advising project managers and stakeholders on key operational and architectural decisions
What You Bring
  1. Deep experience with Linux system administration (e.g., Ubuntu, RHEL) and virtualisation platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM)
  2. Solid understanding of identity, access, and security concepts using tools such as HashiCorp Vault or similar
  3. Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
  4. Working knowledge of cloud-operations principles in AWS or Azure
  5. Familiarity with operational and compliance standards in enterprise environments
  6. Strong analytical and communication skills, with a structured, solution-oriented, and service-focused mindset
  7. Very good German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken
